Nestled into the elbow of Frenchman Bay on WA’s south coast, Albany’s Regional Wildflower Garden has an impressive view. From a raised platform overlooking the gardens, intricate floral murals in the foreground are set against the expanse of the bay, which is dotted with islands and traversed by cargo ships making their way to the port of Albany.

Albany’s Regional Wildflower Garden is part of the Discovery Bay Tourism Precinct, which includes Albany’s Historic Whaling Station. The station was Australia’s last active shore-based whaling station and is now a historical museum site. The precinct attracted more than 63,000 visitors in 2023.
