It’s over for another year. This year’s Deni Ute Muster, a 10th-birthday long weekend, was unquestionably the biggest yet. A normal Deni Muster (if there is such a thing) attracts about 18,000 visitors, but estimates of the 2008 crowd run around the 25,000 mark. Considering that experts put the standard value to the local economy at $10 million, the much larger visitation numbers will have done a lot to offset the depressing effects of the drought, at least for some Deniliquin locals.
