Kylie Scott's infectious enthusiasm for the outback, her bush background and the historical information she has accumulated resonates with travellers. “I am providing personalised tours,” she says. “I take people wherever they want to go, or if they want to leave it to me I can show them everything there is to see.”
Last year she drove almost 600 kilometres from her home in Birdsville, Qld, to pick up two women who had flown to Longreach wanting to see the real outback, but who had become stranded when a tour they had booked was cancelled. Kylie spent a week taking them to places such as Windorah, Innamincka and Marree, camping out and staying at bush hotels.
