There is an absolute buzz about the Muttaburra show. Unlike many rural-town shows, it continues to flourish and will celebrate its 50th show in June. A marquee lunch kicks off proceedings. Keen show-goers – women styled in the latest winter fashions and men in their coats and ties – energetically greet one another. With a cold beer or sparkling wine in hand, they consume a fresh lunch and other locally prepared delights before the all-important sheep judging commences.
